My dear brethren, do not be deceived. Today's popular teachings on end time Bible prophecies have been distorted by Satan to deceive the church. The outline and the information provided below will help us understand where we are in End Time Bible Prophecy. The scriptures teach us to live in the word of God, to search all things and retain that which is good. Ultimately we are to place our faith in God an not in men nor in the doctrines of men. In order for us to have a better understanding of End Time Bible prophecy, we need to first know which prophecies of the Bible have been fulfilled, which are being fulfilled and those who refer to a future fulfillment.
Daniel 2:1-45 foretold the establishment of the kingdom of Jesus after the Empires of Babylon (the head of Gold), Med Persia (chest and arms of silver), Greece (the belly and thighs of bronze) and Rome (the feet of clay and iron).
He saw an image of gold, silver, bronze, iron and clay and a "Rock" that through divine efforts was cut out of a mountain. The Rock struck the image on its feet and destroyed it so that no trace of it was found any more. Stricking the image on its feet which represented the appearence of the Messiah during the Roman Empire. The Rock then became a great mountain that covered the entire earth. The scriptures teach us that after Jesus ascended to heaven He received authrity in heaven, on earth and even under the earth (Hades/Sheol and the Lake of Fire). The Mouintain represents the Kingdom of Jesus which is comprised of God His Father, the angelical hosts in heaven and His followers who are the Temple and Kingdom of God on Earth.
"Coming to Him (Jesus) as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ (1 Peter 2:4-5)."
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed (moved) us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:13-14).
This kingdom of Jesus like a growing Mountain on Earth continues to grow through the spreading of the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Contrary to the teachings of some, Daniel 2 specifically said that the Roman Empire would never rise again:
“And whereas you saw the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided… they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay (Daniel 2: 41-43).”
The Ascension of Jesus to His Throne in Heaven Where He Received an Everlasting Kingdom
Daniel 7:2-27 like Daniel 2 foretold that Jesus would appear during the time of the Roman Empire. It also foretold that He would ascend to Heaven where He would receive an everlasting kingdom comprised of people from every nation, ethnic group and language. Daniel saw in a vision the succession of the Empires (beasts) of Babylon, Med Persia, Greece and Rome. The Empire of Rome was portrayed as a terrible beasts with 10 horns.
Daniel saw in his vision that from these 10 horns came a little horn (emperors) that spoke boastful things and removed 3 other horns (emperors) before him. This passage referred to the civil war that took place in 69 AD after the death of Nero (the Year of the Four Emperors) in which 3 emperors (Galba, Otto and Vitellius) were removed opening the door for Emperor Vespasian (the Little Horn). At the time of Nero, Rome was comprised of 10 senatorial provinces with 10 governors presiding over these. In 70 AD under direction of Emperor Vespasian, General Titus (also a Prince being the son of Emperor - See Daniel 9:26) destroyed the City ofJerusalem and the Temple. With the treasures of the Temple, Emperor Vespasian built the Coliseum and the Arch of Triumph honoring his son's victory over the Jews. As a boastful Little Horn, Vespasian's final words were “I think I am becoming a God.” In 325 AD through the Conversion of Constantine the Great, Christianity became the official religion of the entire Roman Empire which opened the door for the spreading of the Gospel throughout the world.
The 2300 Day Prophecy: the Ram, the Goat, the Four Horns and the King Who placed the Abomination of Desolation at the Temple
Daniel 8: 2-26 foretold how Alexander the Great (the Emperor of Greece) would defeat the Med Persians, and how after his death his kingdom would be divided in four. Alexander died in 323 BC and his generals: Antigonus, Lysimachus, Seleucus and Ptolemy divided his kingdom into four kingdoms, these being Macedonia, Asia, Syria and Egypt. From the Seleucid kingdom (the Kingdom of the North) came Antiochus Epiphanes who in 171 BC plundered Jerusalem, outlawed Temple and force Jews to desolate the covenant by worshiping Greek gods (1 Maccabees 1:10-15). On December 167 BC, Antiochus plundered Jerusalem, stopped sanctuary service, and issue a death decree that all Jews were to sacrifice pigs to idols. He desecrated the Temple by slaughtering pigs in the Holiest of Holies and set up the abomination of desolation (an image of Zeus) inside the Temple, calling it temple of Olympian Zeus (Jupiter Olympus) (1 Maccabees 1:20-64, 2 Maccabees 6:1, 2). On December 164 BC, the Temple was cleansed and rededicated to God (1 Mac4:42-58). This day became celebrated as Hanukkah (Celebration of the Lights) which was the date when the temple was cleansed. If we count back 2,300 days from then, we come to the year when Antiochus Epiphanes began persecuting Judah; thereby, fulfilling the 2300 day prophecy.
490 Year Grace Period Given to Judah to Repent: The End of the Law, The Destruction of Jerusalem and The Appearance of Jesus Foretold
Daniel 9: 24-27 foretold that God would give the people ofJerusalem (Judah/the Southern Kingdom) a grace period of 490 years starting from the time of the issuing of the decree to rebuild theTemple and the City ofJerusalem. 483 years (69 x 7) from the date of such decree Jesus the Messiah would be anointed. He would then be crucified 3 ½ years later (middle of 7 years). The decree to rebuild the City and the Temple was given by King Artaxerxes around 457 AD (Ezra 7:11-26, 9:9). Around 26 or 27 BC, Jesus was anointed by the Sprit of God as He was baptized at the Jordan River (Matthew 26:28). He began His 3 ½ year ministry and was crucified putting and end to sacrifices and offerings for sins. 3 1/2 years later (around 33 or 34 AD) His Gospel was sent to the Gentiles after the death of Stephen. Just as foretold in Daniel 9:26 in 70 AD a prince, General Titus who was the son of Emperor Vespasian destroyed the City ofJerusalem and theTemple.
The above prophecy is a foundational key for the interpretation of End Time Bible prophecy, and as a result of faulty interpretation, most teologieans have distorted End Time Bible Prophecy. In the 1860s, an English preacher named John Nelson Darby came to America convincing many that the Prince mentioned in verse 26 refer to a future antichrist. Darby then proposed that verse 27 refer to a future even in which the Jews will be allowed to restore sacrifices an offerings at the Temple of Jerusalem and the antichrist would stop them 3 1/2 years later. Darby splits the 490 year prophecy in two making the word of God of no effect. Nevertheless, the scriptures clearly teach that at the cross Jesus put an end to sacrifices and offerings for sins, having become a curse for us.
Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law), then He (Jesus) said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all (Hebrews 10:8-10)."
"Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith (Galatians 3:13-14)."
Darby as a false prophet, claims that God will once again allow the Jewish people to reestablish sacrifices and offerings and 3 ½ years later the Antichrist would stop them. Even though there are hundreds of scriptures that show Jesus ended the Law of Moses establishing the New Covenant of Grace, over 90 percent of theologians in America continue to teach the teachings of Darby.
Please do not be deceived.
Currently there is a movement supported by over 100,000 Orthodox rabbis to bring about a Jewish High Priest Messiah who will restore sacrifices and offerings for sins once the Temple is rebuilt. Indrirectly this movement is heavily supported by many Christians who through the faulty teachings of carnal preachers pour millions of dollars towards Israel for the building of the Temple, the utensils of the Temple and the vestments of the upcoming false Jewish High Priest Messiah.
"Seeing then that we have a great High Priest (Jesus) who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession (Hebrews 4:14)."
Do these words sound like God wants another Temple in Jerusalem:
Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. Where is the house that you will build Me? And where is the place of My rest? For all those things My hand has made,And all those things exist,” Says the Lord. ...“He who kills a bull is as if he slays a man; He who sacrifices a lamb, as if he breaks a dog’s neck; He who offers a grain offering, as if he offers swine’s blood; He who burns incense, as if he blesses an idol. Just as they have chosen their own ways, And their soul delights in their abominations, So will I choose their delusions, And bring their fears on them; Because, when I called, no one answered, When I spoke they did not hear; But they did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight (Isaiah 66:1-4)."
John Darby taught that God is going to allow His Son Jesus Christ to return to earth and live in an earthly millennial kingdom in Jerusalem. Nevertheless Jesus taught:
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here (John 18:36)."
"In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you (John 14:2)."
The scriptures below clearly teach that Jesus would never be a priest on an earthly Temple. He entered the true Temple in Heaven where He is sitted at the right hand of God the Father once and for all.
The Succession of the Med Persian, Greek, Seleucid, Ptolemaic and Roman Kingdoms: the defamation of the Temple by Antiochus Epiphanes and his defeat by the Romans
Daniel 11:1-45 gave specific details describing the succession of the kingdoms of Med Persia, Greece, the Ptolemaic Kingdom (the Kingdom of the South) and theSeleucidKingdom (the Kingdom of the North). The prophecy even foretold how Ptolemy II Philadelphus who reigned of theSoutherenKingdom would give his daughter Berenice in marriage to Antiochus II Theos of theNorthern kingdom (verse 6); how Antiochus the Great of the North would defeat the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt – the Southern Kingdom (verse 15-16). In verse 17 Antiochus the Great would give Cleopatra in marriage for an alliance withEgypt. In verses 18 and 19, Antiochus the Great will war against the kingdom of the west but would be turned back by the rise of theRoman Empire. Verse 20 foretold that Seleucus IV Philopator (of theNorthern Kingdom – the Seleucids) imposed a tax onJudah, but in a short time we would be destroyed. Verses 21-35 foretold the appearance of Antiochus Epiphanes IV who made war against the Southern Kingdom (the Ptolemaic Kingdom) but was turned back during the rise of the Roman Empire.
Two key events in the timeline of events of Bible end time prophecy are the binding and releasing of Satan. The scriptures teach that the binding of Satan took place already, and his release precede the return of Jesus and the gathering of the church.
Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; and he cast him into the bottomless pit [Abyss], and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while (Revelation 20:1-3).
In the above scriptures John saw an angel of God taking a hold of Satan and casting him in the pit (Greek “abuso” referring to the Abyss). The Abyss is another name for the word Khaos referring to invisible and gloomy dimensions surrounding the earth. As we continue reading verses Revelation 20:4-6, we will notice that Satan was restrained already to allow for the spreading of the Gospel.
"And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years (Revelation 20:4-6)."
Notice above that the souls of those who were beheaded as a result of persecution. These were not raptured nor did they descend to earth to a so called millennial kingdom, instead these men and women died as marthyrs and went to heaven to be with the Lord. These were the first resurrection which according to the scrpitures below began to happen after the resurrection of Jesus.
Matthew 27: 50 -53 states that after Jesus resurrected, “…the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.”
In 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 Paul stated that Satan was restrained already:
“And now you know what is restraining, that he [Satan] may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only Hewho now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. And then the lawless one [Satan] will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.” Even though Satan was restrained at the time of Paul, the church continued to be persecuted for the Gospel.
Jesus had specifically stated that Satan had to be bound first in order for the captives to be set free. Let’s look at the following passage which is often overlooked by some eschatologists:
But if I cast out demons with the finger of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. When a strong man [Satan], fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are in peace. But when a stronger [Jesus] than he [Satan] comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armor in which he trusted, and divides his spoils [people] (Luke 11:20-22).
In John 12:31-32 Jesus said:
“Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out. And, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”
Notice above that Satan would be cast out immediately after Jesus ascent to heaven. The following scripture tells the rest of the story.
“… And the dragon stood before the woman [Israel] who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She [Israel] bore a male Child [Jesus] who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child [Jesus] was caught up to God and His throne. Then the woman [Israel] fled into the wilderness… And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon;… So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him (Revelation 12:4-9)."
Revelation 12:4-9 specifically shows that Jesus (the Son of the woman Israel) was caught up to His throne in heaven. Soon there after the angel Michael defeated Satan who was cast to the earth along with his demons. This particular passage relates specifically to the passage in Revelation 20:1-3; “… I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit [Abyss], and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.”
As we can see from the evidence provided above, the scriptures in Revelation 20:1-3 have already been fulfilled, just as Revelation 20:4-6 which states that the saints who were beheaded as a result of persecution went to be with the Lord.
Another event that will take place after the release of Satan is the Battle of Gog and Magog. The scriptures shows that during this horrific battle, many of the Islamic Nations surrounding Israel will join forces to attack Israel and the Church.
Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:7-10).
Revelation 20:7-10 states that Satan would be released from prison and once again deceive the nations. This seems to indicate that he will make every attempt to prevent the gospel from reaching every nation. It is clearly evident that he would not be able to do this and he would then gather the Army of Gog and Magog to attack the City ofJerusalemas well as Christians (Saints) abroad. God will intercede for His people and fight against Satan. Satan will then be cast into the Lake o f Fire.
The events that have taken place since 1948, show that Satan has been released already, and he is now gathering the army of Gog and Magog to come against Israel and the Church.
Jesus said that when we see Jerusalem (present day Israel) surrounded by armies we would know that the time of God's vengeance is near.
“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled (Luke 21:20-22).”
The Bible calls this battle, the Battle of Gog and Magog and the Prophet Ezekiel foretold that this battle would happen after the people of Israel had been rescued from the sword [great persecution] and once again gathered from many nations back to Israel. One who has spiritual eyes to see, could clearly see that this took place in the 1940’s.
“In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you (Ezekiel 38:8-9)”
According to Ezekiel 38, the ten nations that in the latter days will form an alliance to attack the Nation of Israel are:
1. Gog 2. Magog 3. Rosh 4. Meshech 5. Tubal
6. Persia 7. Ethiopia 8. Libya 9. Gomer 10.Tarshish
Bible history shows that the people of the above ten nations, once lived in the areas now known as Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Egypt, Libya, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. One common denominator of all of the nations that make up the empire of Gog and Magog is Islam. It is no coincidence that more than 98 percent of the people who now live in the above nations are Islamic, and many of these nations are seeking to create a new Islamic Caliphate (empire) under Islamic Sharia law.
The large number of events that have taken since the war on terror began shows clearly that this battle is near. A number of Islamic forums and summits have taken place around the glove in which the main goal is to unite all Islamic nations as a world-wide caliphate (Muslim empire) to destroy both Israel and the church.
The scriptures reveal that during the Battle of Gog and Magog the City ofJerusalem will be captured, the houses will be ransacked and many Jewish women will be raped. Half of the people ofJerusalem will go into exile and only a remnant will remain in the city (Zechariah 14:1-2) and half of the city ofJerusalem will once again return into captivity. Nevertheless, the Bible says that the Lord will once again fight for Israel and immediately after the Battle of Gog and Magog, the Lord will return and all the saints with Him (Zechariah 14:3-5).
In line with the prophecy of Gog and Magog, the 17th chapter of the Book of Revelation foretells the judgment of a nation, whom the Lord calls “Mystery Babylon, the Mother of Harlots.”
Just as there are 10 nations listed in number of the nations of Gog and Magog, Revelation 17 states that this nation will be judged by 10 nations whom will give their power to (Satan) beast.
The word Babylon means “city of confusion.” This word applies to any nation who has turned away from the ways of the Lord to practice pagan traditions and to worship other gods. The Bible provides hundreds of scriptures showing that the Great Harlot (mysteryBabylon) was the former Kingdom of Judah (Jerusalem) and corresponds to Israel today.
"… And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication. And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLONTHE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement (Revelation 17:3-6).”
After the death of King Solomon, Israel was split in two; the kingdom of the North which continued to be called Israel, and the kingdom of the south which was called Judah or Jerusalem because in it was the City of Jerusalem. Ezekiel 16 and 23 stateas that both kingdoms committed spritual harlotry by following the pagan traditions of their surrounding nations giving themselves to idolatry. As a result of their continued disobedience, God allowed the King of Assyria to remove the people of Northern Israel from their lands. Jerusalem in her harlotry (idol worship) became worse than the Northern Kingdom of Israel. The people of Judah even sacrificed their own children to Moloch (Molech), a pagan deity worshiped by the Ammonites. God continued to send them prophets to turn them away from sin. Some of these, they scorged and put in prison and continue to serve other gods. As a result of their continued harlotry, God allowed the King of Babylon to destroy the Temple ofJerusalem and the people ofJerusalem removed from their lands and held in captivity in Babylon.
Even though the idolatrous practices of the former Nation of Jerusalem (the Southern Kingdom of Judah) are not practiced by present day Israel; today many of the pagan traditions learned while in Babylon continue to be taught in Judaism through the teachings of the Talmud and mystic Kabala, which contains anti-Crist traditions and occult teachings that have been passed down from former rabbis since the time of Babylon. Hence the name "Mystery Babylon." See link above "Jewish Mysticism."
The Harlot Woman was Sitting on a Seven-Headed Beast
The Apostle John saw that the harlot was being carried by a Seven Headed beast. To him was revealed that the beasts had been released from the abyss, and the seven head of the beast was a succession of seven kings. Five had fallen (ceased to exists), one was in existance at the time of John, a seventh would come but only for a short time, and an eight king would come at a latter time and would be sent to the abyss.
1. Gog 2. Magog 3. Rosh 4. Meshech 5. Tubal 6. Persia
7. Ethiopia 8. Libya 9. Gomer 10.Tarshish
These 10 nations where once located in the territories of the following Islamic nations; Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Egypt, Libya, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
The Woman Was Arrayed in Royal Clothes and Precious Stones
Just as the Apostle John in Revelation 17, the Prophet Ezekiel spoke of the Great Harlot that was arrayed in purple, precious stones and pearls. She had in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and she had become drunk with the blood of the prophets. These words were spoken to Jerusalem in Ezekiel, chapters 16 and 23. Please compared these with Revelation 17:
“…Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.” … The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations... And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement (Revelation 17:1-6).”
“Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD to Jerusalem: … I clothed you in embroidered cloth … I clothed you with fine linen and covered you with silk… I put a jewel in your nose, a beautiful crown on your head…. You were exceedingly beautiful, and succeeded to royalty… “But you trusted in your own beauty, played the harlot… “Moreover you took your sons and your daughters, whom you bore to Me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. … by causing them to pass through the fire….‘Woe, woe to you!’ says the Lord GOD… You also committed harlotry with the Egyptians… You also played the harlot with the Assyrians… you multiplied your acts of harlotry as far as the land of the trader, Chaldea (Babylon)…. You are an adulterous wife, who takes strangers instead of her husband… ‘Now then, O harlot, hear the word of the LORD! …, I will gather all your lovers with whom you took pleasure, all those you loved, and all those you hated; I will gather them from all around against you and will uncover your nakedness to them, … And I will judge you as women who break wedlock …; I will bring blood upon you in fury and jealousy…, and they shall throw down your shrines (the Temple) and break down your high places. They shall also strip you of your clothes, take your beautiful jewelry, and leave you naked and bare. “They shall also bring up an assembly against you, and they shall stone you with stones and thrust you through with their swords. They shall burn your houses with fire, and execute judgments on you in the sight of many women; and I will make you cease playing the harlot, and you shall no longer hire lovers. So I will lay to rest My fury toward you, and My jealousy shall depart from you. I will be quiet, and be angry no more (Ezekiel 16:2-42).”
Ezekiel foretold that in the latter days God would raise the people of Egypt, Assyria and Babylon to bring an assembly against Jerusalem. These nations would throw down the places of worship in Jerusalem. Strip Jerusalem of all her possessions leaving her naked and bare. Then Jerusalem would cease to play the harlot. This prophecy refers to the Battle of God and Magog, which is about to be fulfilled.
The Woman Was Given a Cup of Abominations
Revelation 17:4 says that the Harlot had in her hand a cup full of abominations. These same words were spoken by the Prophet Ezekiel to Jerusalem (present day Israel). Please compare the scriptures below:
“The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication (Revelation 17:4).”
“Therefore, Oholibah (Jerusalem), thus says the Lord GOD: ‘Behold, I will stir up your lovers against you… The Babylonians, All the Chaldeans, Pekod, Shoa, Koa, All the Assyrians… they shall come against you …I will delegate judgment to them… And they shall deal furiously with you…They shall also strip you of your clothes And take away your beautiful jewelry. ‘Thus I will make you cease your lewdness and your harlotry brought from the land of Egypt … I will do these things to you because you have gone as a harlot after the Gentiles, because you have become defiled by their idols…‘ You shall drink of your sister’s cup, …You will be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, The cup of horror and desolation, The cup of your sister Samaria (Israel)… Because you have forgotten Me and cast Me behind your back, Therefore you shall bear the penalty of your lewdness and your harlotry (Ezekiel 23:22-35).”
The Harlot Nation Killed the Prophets and the Saints
Revelation 17 states that the harlot nation (Jerusalem) killed the prophets and the saints. These same words we spoken by Jesus. He further stated that Jerusalem would be left desolate until the people ofJerusalem received Him as their Messiah.
“ I saw the woman, drunk with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I marveled with great amazement (Revelation 17:6).”
“And in her was found the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth (Revelation18:24).”
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! (Matthew 23:37-39”
Jesus foretold that Jerusalem (present day Israel) would one day be surrounded by armies and God would bring vengeance upon her.
“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled (Luke21:20-22).”
Contrary to the teachings of carnal theologians who teach that every Jewish person will be saved, the word of God teaches that not every Jewish person are children of God but those who do the will of God (the same applies to Christans).
Paul said, “…For they are not all Israel who are of Israel, nor are they all children because they are the seed (descendants) of Abraham; but, “In Isaac your seed shall be called (Romans 9:6-7).”
According to Paul, both Jewish and non-Jewish people are saved by the grace of God and not because of their ethnic backgrounds, nor by the observance of rituals of the Law of Moses.
Furthermore, Paul taught that through Jesus’ sacrifice, God took away the Law of Moses which separated Jewish and non-Jewish people, creating one Israel (one body) in which non-Jewish believers are now fellow citizens of the commonwealth of Israel.
“Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles (non-Jewish) … that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from thecommonwealthofIsrael…. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both (Jews and Non-Jews) one … having abolished in His flesh …the law of commandments (the Law of Moses) … to create in Himself one new man from the two (Jews and Non-Jews) …that He might reconcile them both (Jews and Non-Jews) to God in one body … therefore, you (non-Jews) are no longer strangers and foreigners (in Israel), but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God (Ephesians 2:11-19).”
Concerning natural Jewish people in Israel who will be saved, Paul said that there is a remnant that will be saved according to the election of God by grace and not by the works or traditions of the Law of Moses.
“Even so then, at this present time there is a remnant (of Israel) according to the election of grace. And if by grace, then it is no longer of works (rituals of the Law); otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace…What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written: “God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day (Romans 11:5-8).”
Regarding the remnant of Israel that will be saved, Paul quoted Isaiah saying:
“Isaiah also cries out concerningIsrael:“Though the number of the children of Israelbe as the sand of the sea, The remnant will be saved. (Romans 9:28).”
As one can clearly see, God makes no exceptions and does not play personal favoritism. Everyone who will be saved will do so by the Grace of God who gave His only begotten Son (Jesus). Those who reject to submit to the Son will perish, of the Jews first and then of the gentiles.
The Great Tribulation of the Church has begun and the Battle of Gog and Magog (Armageddon) is near
The gospels make it very clear that the redemption of the Nation of Israel will not take place until the Jewish people repent of their sins and receive Jesus as their true King and Messiah. We need to pray for peace in Jerusalem, but above all we need to pray for them to receive Jesus (Yeshua) as their true savior and Messiah. For the scriptures clearly teach that the wharth of God will be poured against those who reject HIm.
"... When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10)."
May the blessings of God our Father in the Name of Jesus be upon you.
