The Seven Trumpets, the Seven Plagues and the Harvest
The Seven Seals, describe a period of trouble and persecution know as the Great Tribulation in which
the children of God will be persecuted for their testimony of Jesus Christ as their Messiah. The Seventh
Trumpets and the Seven Plagues in the other hand describe the punishment that God will pour upon
those who rejected Christ as their Messiah, but by their evil deeds and actions chose to serve Satan
(the Beast) as their master.

During this period of time God will allow Satan to place a foolish Shepherd at very Temple of Jerusalem
who will claim that He is God and will do great miracles, so that many Jews and even Christians who are
not founded in Jesus the Rock and His teachings will believe that this fake messiah is the real Messiah.
They will go as far as to worship him and to accept his teachings as truth; thereby, rejecting the
teachings of Christ. For this reason, God Himself will give them great delusions that they perish and be
condemned (2 Thessalonians 1-12).

I cannot say for certain that the false messiah will be a Jewish man, but I am certain that the people of
Israel will not accept any man that is not Jewish to become their High Priest or their Messiah. In other
words, there is a great likelihood that the man of sin will be a Jewish man.  Jesus was not only the true
Messiah, but He is the High Priest of God and also the King of Israel who sits in Heaven at the right hand
of His Father. The scriptures say that Jesus not only fulfill the Law of Moses, but He also took it out of
the way to set us free from sins, since it was the Law of Moses that kept us bound to sin.  There is a
great likelihood that the false messiah would try to reestablish sacrifices and offerings and by doing this
he will gain the acceptance of most orthodox and Ultra-orthodox Jewish people who would like very much
to see the Temple of Jerusalem rebuilt and the Law of Moses reestablished once again.   I must warn
every person that reads this article, that bringing sacrifices again to the Temple of God is like spitting
against the face of Jesus, saying that the sacrifice of God in which He gave his very own son to pay for
the sins of humanity, is not sufficient.

Whether the false messiah would be Jewish or gentile, or whether he will re-establish those things that
Jesus gave His life to do away with is yet to be seen, but the word of God in both the New Testament
and the Holy Scriptures (commonly known as the Old Testament) teach that the man of sin will great
persecution against both Christians and Jewish believers.  This will be the very event that brings forth
the Wrath of God. Here is where the Seven Trumpets and the Seven Plagues come into place.

In Matthew 24:29-31, Jesus gave us the order of events that will help us understand the order of events
in Revelation Chapters 6 through Chapter 15, in which the Great Tribulation, the Wrath and the
Gathering of the Saints will take place.  He said that “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall
the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the
powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven:
and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds
of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and
they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The Seven Trumpets and the Seven Plagues

The First Trumpet
The First Trumpet (Revelation 8:7) follows immediately after the Great Tribulation that is caused by the
Man of Sin. Here an angel of God will cause third part of trees and all the green grass of the earth to be
was burned

The First Plague
During the time of the First Plague a foul and loathsome sore will be poured on anyone in the world who
worshipped the Beast, the image of the Beasts or those who have the mark of the beast on their
forehead or on their hand. (Revelation 16:2)

The Second Trumpet
During the Second Trumpet (Revelation 8:8-9) a second will throw something like a great mountain
burning with fire into the sea causing the third part of the sea creatures to die and the third part of the
ships to be were destroyed and the sea became like blood, something that is also stated in the Second
Plague (Revelation 16:3) which states that the sea will become like blood causing every sea creature to
die.

Third Trumpet and the Third Plague
During the Third Trumpet (Revelation 8:10-11) a third angel will cause something like a great burning
star called Wormwood to fall upon the third part of the rivers and the fountains of waters. These will
become contaminated and bitter causing many people to die. The Third Plague (Revelation 16:4-7) will
cause every river and every spring of water in the world to become like blood.

The Fourth Plague
During the Fourth Plague (Revelation 16:8-9), the sun will have power to scorch with heat and fire the
kingdom of the Beast and those who will worship the Beat; these will not repent of their sin and will
blaspheme the Name of Christ Jesus.

Fourth Trumpet and the Fifth Plague
During the Fourth Trumpet (Revelation 8:12-13) a fourth angel will cause darkness during both day and
night, were one third part of the sun, the moon and the start will not be visible. The Fifth Plague also
states that the throne and the kingdom of the Beast will be filled with of darkness; but the will not repent
and continue to blaspheme the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ because of the pain caused by the
plagues. (Revelation 16:10-11)

The Fifth Trumpet
During the Fifth Trumpet (Revelation 9:1-11), a fifth angel will open the bottomless pit and out of the pit
will come smoke and locust shaped like horses that were prepared to go to battle.  The locust had faces
like men, crowns of gold, hair like women, teeth like that of a lion and breastplates of iron. The king of
the locusts was the angel of the bottomless pit, known in Hebrew as Abaddon and Apollyon in the Greek.
They had tails like scorpions and received power to torment those who did not have the seal of God in
their foreheads for a period of five months with pain like that of the sting of a scorpion. Man and women
will seek death but will not find it. Paul told us that the seal guarantee for the time of Gods redemption is
the Holy Spirit.

The Fifth Trumpet refers to the release of Satan, who is also the Head that was wounded for a time in
Revelation Chapter 13.  Revelation 17:8 specifically say that “The beast that you saw was, and is not;
and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall
wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they
see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is (Revelation 17:8).

“When the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to
deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them
together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of
the earth, and surrounded the camp of the saints, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God
out of heaven, and devoured them (Revelation 20:7-9).

If we pay particular attention to Revelation 20:7-9 we will notice that Christians are on earth at the time
when Satan is released from the Abyss (pit). After he is released from prison he will surround the City of
Jerusalem and the camp of the saints, meaning those who have placed their faith in Christ Jesus, which
shows that Christians will be on earth at the time that Satan will be released from the Abyss.

The Greek word for “the pit” is the word “abbusos” which means a habitation of Demons.  The pit is not
a hole in the ground but a spiritual dimension on earth where Satan lives under restraints. In 2
Thessalonians 2: 6-8, Paul said concerning the manifestation of Satan that the mystery of iniquity was
already on earth, but only he who now restrains him will do so until he is taken out of the way.

The Sixth Trumpet
During The Sixth Trumpet (Revelation 9:13-18), a sixth angel released the four angels that were bound
in the great river Euphrates. And these four angels prepared themselves to slay the third part humanity
that was left with and army of 200,000 horsemen.

Ezekiel 38 and 39 specifically talks about the army of Gog and Magog, saying that after the people of
Israel was brought back to the land of Israel that had been desolate for a long period, He would put
hooks in the jaws of God and Magog and would bring them against the nation of Israel, where he would
judge both Israel and the nations of Gog and Magog.  After Hitler’s holocaust, the people of Israel
returned back to Palestine and Israel was reestablished as a Nation in 1948.  The lands that were
formerly known as Gog, Magog, Rosh, Meshech, Tubal, Persia, Ethiopia, Lybia, Gomer and Tarshish
today are the nations of Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Egypt, Libya, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan,
Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, who not only seek a World Muslim Union, but also
to establish Islam as the only world religion. The war on terror today, shows how close we are to the
fulfillment of the Book of Revelation.

The Sixth Plague
During the Sixth Plague (Revelation 16:12-16) the great river Euphrates will be dried up.
Three unclean spirits working miracles will come out of the mouth of the dragon, the beast, the false
prophet and will lead the kings of the east so that these will gather themselves at the Valley of Megiddo,
which is also known as Armageddon.

The Seventh Plague
During The Seventh Plague (Revelation 16:17-21) there will be noises, thundering, lightning and a great
earthquake. The great city of Jerusalem will be divided into three parts, and all the cities of the world will
fall. At this time God will remember the Great Babylon to give unto her the cup of the wine of the
fierceness of his wrath. Then great hail the weight of a talent will fall upon men and men will blaspheme
God

Zechariah 14:1-3 says that God would gather all of the nations of the world to come against the Nation
of Israel, and then the Lord will go and fight against those nations, as when he once fought in the day of
battle.  On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, and the Mount of Olives will cave in the
middle, toward the east and toward the west creating a great valley were half of the mountain will move
toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

It will be after the Seventh Plague that the eyes of the remnant of the People of Israel will recognize
Jesus whom they had pierced and they would turn to him and accept Him as their Lord and Messiah. In
the day that God will seek to destroy all the nations that came against Jerusalem, He will pour upon the
house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they
shall look upon Him (Jesus) whom they have pierced, and they will mourn for him, as one mourns for his
only son. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in
the valley of Megiddo (Zachariah 12:9-11).

The Seventh Trumpet
Finally during The Seventh Trumpet (Revelation 11:15-18) the kingdom that Jesus established in this
world would become the kingdom of God and Christ who will reign forever and ever.  John heard the
twenty-four elders (the 12 Patriarchs of Israel and the 12 Apostles) said, “We give you thanks, O Lord
God Almighty,” because you have taken your great power, and has reigned. The nations were angry,
and your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that you should
give reward unto your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and to them that fear your name, small
and great; and should destroy them who destroy the earth.”

In Deuteronomy 28, Moses warned the people of Israel saying that all kinds of curses shall come upon
them and overtakes them if they did not obey the voice of the Lord their God, to observe and to do all
his commandments and his statutes. The Seven Plagues and the Seven Trumpets are the fulfillment of
what Moses said in Deuteronomy 28, which states that to those who would not do all of the
commandments of the Law, God would send cursing, pestilence, fever, inflammation, tumors, the
diseases of Egypt as well as every sickness and every plague until they are destroyed. Locust shall
consume their tress and produce of their land the Lord will bring a nation against them as swift as the
eagles, whose language they would not understand. Their heaven over them would be like brass and
their carcasses shall be meat to all fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the earth, and no man shall
scare them away. The commandments that Moses referred to were the Commandments of the Law of
Moses.

Paul said that since no one was able to perform all of the Commandments of the Law, everyone was
under the curse of the Law.  However, after Jesus fulfilled all of the Law, He became a curse for our sins
at the cross, where He nailed all the rituals of the Law and presented us just and righteous before God.
He took the Law out of the way that is why the law no longer binds us. However, Paul said that anyone
who tries to become justified by the Law has fallen from grace and there is no longer redemption for sin.
For those who perform the rituals of the Law, must ensure that they perform all of the Law otherwise
they are still under a curse. The wrath of God is for every one who continues to live in sin and for every
one who tries to become justified by the Law.  There is no condemnation for those who are in Jesus.
