Where are We in the Time of Revelation: The Seven Seals
|
Revelation Chapter 6: 1-11 describes 5 prophetic events that take place during the Great
Tribulation and prior to the Wrath of God. When we compare these verses with history, a
person who has not been brain washed by the false teachings of many eschatologists will clearly
understand that the Great Tribulation has already began.
The Spreading of the Gospel
The First Seal (Rev. 6:1-2) describes a rider on the white horse that was given. He had a bow
on his hand and went conquering and to conquer. Many eschatologists claim that this rider is
the Antichrist; however, the Bible gives ample evidence that this rider is Jesus, who after he
defeated Satan at the cross, ascended to heaven where he was crowned King of Kings and Lord
of Lord and He is reigning at the right hand of His Father. Jesus is now conquering the world by
the spreading of the gospel. The first seal has already being fulfilled.
The Beginning of the Tribulation
The Second Seal (Revelation 6:3 - 4) describes a rider on a red horse who came to take the
peace of the earth. This rider represents War. History shows that World War I caused the death
of more than 14 million people and World War II caused more than 500 million deaths. There
have been more than 60 wars since 1960 were more than 13 million people have died. It is
clearly evident that the Second Seal has already being fulfilled.
The Third Seal (Rev. 6:5-6) reveals a rider on the black horse with a balance on his hands and a
voice that said "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; do not
hurt the oil or the wine." This Seal clearly represents famine and the high cost of food. A
denarius was the equivalent to a person weekly salary. When we compare what food cost
just 75 years ago with the cost of today we can clearly understand that the Third Seal has also
been fulfilled.
The Fourth Seal (Rev. 6:7-8) reveals a rider on the pale horse name Death, who received
power over the fourth of the earth to kill with the sword, with hunger, with death and with the
beasts of the earth. The fourth seal represents the death that has occurred by war, famine and
pestilences. In addition to the millions who have died because of war, just in the last 100 years
the world has suffered the death of million of people who have died of illnesses such as the
Bubonic plague, Influenza, AIDS and many more illnesses. Currently there are more than 3
billion people in our world today who are suffering from hunger and malnutrition; in fact,
starvation today causes the death of close to 60 million people each year. The fourth seal has
certainly been fulfilled.
The Fifth Seal (Rev. 6:9 - 11) revealed the souls of believers who were killed for the word and
testimony of God who were crying to the Lord for judgment and vengeance. These received
white robes and were asked to wait until the number of those who are to be killed in the manner
that they were killed is completed. The Fifth seal represents the persecution of Christian and
Messianic believers throughout the world.
Antonio Socci, author of the The New Persecuted: Inquiries into Anti-Christian Intolerance in
the New century of Martyrs, writes in his book that more than 70 million believers throughout
the world have been killed in the name of Jesus since the time when Jesus first appeared.
According to Socci, over 45 million of these men and women were killed just in the last 100
years. At the present time, most churches in United States are blind to the fact that millions of
Christians throughout the world are currently being persecuted, killed, rape, tortured and
imprisoned, specially in Muslim and communist countries throughout the world.
As a result of the false teachings of many eschatologists, most Christians in America believe that
they will not be on earth at the time of the when the Man of Sin (the Antichrist) is revealed;
however, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 clearly teach that our gathering with the Lord and His return
will not take place until after the manifestation of Man of Sin. In fact in the Fifth Seal, the divine
answer that was given to the souls of those that were killed for the testimony of Jesus who were
crying for vengeance was for them to rest a little while, wait until the number of those who will
be killed in the manner that they were killed is completed (Rev. 6:9-11)." There is no doubts in
my mind that events of the Fifth Seal are occurring today, and with certainty I can say that the
time of the Great Tribulation has already began.
Concerning the Man of Sin, Jesus spoke saying "when ye therefore shall see the abomination of
desolation," and further said "then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning
of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be (Mathew 24"12-21)." We know that neither of the
disciples lived to see the Antichrist; therefore, when He said "when ye therefore shall see" we
know that He referred to those who believe in His name who at the time when the Man of Sin
will suffer the worst tribulation and persecution of all times.
The Next Passover Seal
The Sixth Seal (Revelation 6:12-7:17) begins by describes a sequence of events that will take
place prior to the pouring of the Wrath of God upon the kingdom of the Antichrist, and upon
those that receive the mark and the name of Satan.
The first event during the Sixth Seal describe a great earthquake that moved every mountain and
island out of their places, the darkening of the sun, the moon looking red like blood; stars or
meteors falling unto the earth, and the heaven departing as a scroll that is rolled together. These
events caused every one on earth to hide from the face of God and from the Wrath of Jesus the
Lamb of God.
The second event during the Sixth Seal describe four angels holding the winds of the earth, and
another angel with the seal of God, who told the other four angels, not to destroy the land, the
sea nor any trees until they had sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. The angels
sealed 12,000 people of each of the following tribes of Israel; Juda, Reuben, Gad, Aser,
Nepthalim, Manases, Simeon, Levi, Issachar, Zabulon, Joseph and benjamin, totaling 144,000
natural Jews who were sealed on their foreheads prior to the pouring of the Wrath of God.
Many Christians claim to be part of the 144,000 sealed, as Jesus grafted us into the body of
Israel, but they fail to recognize that Jesus came from the tribe of Judah; therefore we represent
only part of the tribe of Judah. Nevertheless, the Apostol John listed 11 other tribes beside
Judah that were sealed by the Seal of God. The 144,000 clearly, speak of the natural remnant of
Israel who will be sealed by the spirit of God as Paul said that the Seal Guarantee for the time
of God's redemption is the Holy Spirit, and that when the fullness of the gentile believers has
been fulfilled, then the eyes of the remnant of Israel will be opened.
The third event during the Sixth Seal further describes the persecution of the saints, particularly
about the church at the time of the Man of Sin. John saw an uncountable multitude from all
nations, races, and tribes and languages stood before the throne of the Lamb, clothed with white
robes. One of the elders asked John, "Who are these that are dressed in white robes," then he
told John that they were those who came out of great tribulation, who had their robes washed in
the blood of the Lamb. These were in the Temple of God in heaven serving Him day and night
as God dwells among them. They shall no longer hunger, thirst or see the sunlight or heat on
them any longer for God shall wipe away their tears.
By the fact that the multitude above came from all nations, races, and tribes and languages, who
washed their robes with the blood of the Lamb, we can easily conclude that it refers to Christian
believers from all the nations of the world not just the Nation of Israel. The scriptures say that
these came out of the great tribulation, not that they escaped the tribulation. It particularly says
that they will be at the Temple of God where God lives, meaning in heaven, and that they will
no longer see the light from the sun or its heat, meaning that they will no longer return to the
earth, let along return to a Millennial Earthly kingdom, something that eschatologists have
invented, which goes contrary to the teachings of Jesus who said that He went away to prepare
mansions in heaven, so that at the place were He is we could also be.
The Seventh Seal Prelude to the Wrath of God
The Seventh Seal (Rev.8:1-6) says that after the Sixth Seal there was silence in heaven for about
half an hour, the John saw seven angels with seven trumpets and another angel with a golden
censer. Smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God, and the
angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar of God and threw it into the earth, causing
thundering, lightning, and an earthquake. Then the seven angels with the seven trumpets
prepared to sound the trumpets.
Many eschatologists, neglect to separate the time of the Great Tribulation from the Wrath Of
God. By the illustration provided in the Seventh Seal we can clearly see that Christians will be
on earth at the time of the Great Tribulation, and the Wrath of God will come from the prayers
offered by believers who are crying to the Lord to avenge their suffering and persecution. No
were in the seven Seals, the bible talks about rapture, nor it says anything about God leaving any
one behind for a thousand years. The Apostle Paul says that Wrath of God was not for the
believer, in reading the Seven Seals, one clan clearly see that the wrath of God and the Great
Tribulation are two distinctive events. Jesus said that a disciple was not greater than his master,
and then He said that if He was persecuted we would also be persecuted us as well.
Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 said "Behold, I show you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but
we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the
trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." The
last Trumpet refers to the Seventh Trumpet described in Revelation 11:15-18, when the kingdom
of God that is in this world have become the kingdom of our Lord and Christ; who shall reign
for ever and ever, after the wrath has come, and the time of the judgment of the dead has
come.
